Jared Lizano Sensei
Our head instructor, Jared Lizano Sensei, begun his Shinkendo training in January 2000 under Shihan Gene Hauenstein, and later Sensei James Fabian. His dedication to the art led him to teaching Shinkendo as an Assistant Instructor in 2005. His devotion to the art as well as to his students is exemplary. In addition, Lizano Sensei takes passing on knowledge seriously and has begun obtaining his Master's Degree in Education to further improve his teaching methods.
Win Prue Sensei
Win Prue-sensei began his study of Shinkendo in May of 2001 under Gene Hauenstein-shihan, and later James Fabian-sensei. He feels very fortunate to have had the privilege to learn under such respected and learned practitioners of the art. It was his fascination with the Japanese sword that encouraged sensei Prue to begin the study of Shinkendo. It is his goal to further his knowledge, both as a student and instructor, and to impart it to his fellow students as did the sensei before him.
